One of the best ways to keep your umbrella fabric looking good is to hose it off on a regular basis. This will keep dirt from embedding into the fabric.

For a deep cleaning, you should always use cold to warm clear water, never hot water. Applying a mild soap such as Ivory Snow or Woolite and using a soft bristle brush to brush the surface, rinsing thoroughly with clear cold water, and air dry. Never apply heat to dry.

Also, to extend the life of your umbrella, always crank it down when not in use and store in a safe place during inclement weather.
